Tapping

Emotional Freedom Techniques, or EFT (commonly called “tapping” or “EFT tapping”). Tapping involves the body’s energy meridian points, which are a concept in Chinese medicine. It works very much like acupuncture but without the needles. Tapping on these meridian points with the fingertips stimulates the body’s energy meridians. It is used as a universal healing tool which can often resolve and provide impressive results for physical and emotional problems or issues, blocks or imbalances in the flow of energy which can lead to ill health.

EFT works in a similar way to mindfulness, as it can draw a person’s attention to their body and breathing, with the belief that no matter what unresolved emotions or some part of your life needs attention and getting in the way. It may serve as a mental distraction from the issues that are causing anxiety or stress.
